What happens every month
WordPress releases updates regularly for the core, plugins and themes. These updates exist for good reason: they close security vulnerabilities, improve performance and keep everything working together. A site that goes months without attention becomes a site that becomes vulnerable.
Alongside updates, we check your site’s performance. Is it still loading fast enough? Have any broken links appeared after a change? Is the sitemap still correct? Small things you wouldn’t notice yourself, but that do affect your visibility and user experience.
Off-site backup, independent of your hosting
Most hosting providers run automatic backups, but these sit on the same network as your site. In the event of a hack or server issue, that backup can be compromised too. We run a daily off-site backup to OneDrive, completely separate from your hosting. If something ever goes wrong, there is always a clean version available.

What happens if something goes wrong outside of the maintenance plan?
In the event of an incident such as a hack or a fatal plugin conflict, we contact you immediately. Recovery work falls outside the plan and is billed on an hourly basis, but we will not start work until you have given us the go-ahead.
How often are updates carried out?
We check for and apply updates as soon as they become available, at minimum once a month. Critical security updates are handled immediately.
What counts as a minor change?
Text edits, image replacements, small CSS adjustments. New functionality or plugin integrations are handled as a separate project.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, the plan is cancellable on a monthly basis. No minimum term, no penalties.
My hosting already includes backups. Why do I need another one?
Your host’s backup sits on the same server or network as your site. In the event of a hack or server failure, that backup is sometimes affected too. Our off-site backup via OneDrive is completely independent of your hosting and always available.
