What happens every month

Every month we apply all available WordPress core, plugin and theme updates, monitor your site’s security and create a daily off-site backup to OneDrive, completely separate from your hosting. You receive a monthly status report by email so you always know everything is in order.

For critical security updates we act immediately, without waiting for the monthly cycle.

How it works

After purchase we will be in touch within a few days. To get started we need access to your WordPress environment: a WordPress admin account, FTP access, your domain settings and any licence keys for premium plugins or themes. Once we have everything, we get to work.

The subscription is billed monthly in advance by direct debit. You can cancel at any time via codesurf.ie. Billing stops immediately and we carry out maintenance until the end of the paid period.

Which sites qualify?

We accept WordPress sites that are up to date or can be brought up to date within a normal maintenance window. If that is not the case, we will discuss what is needed and bring the site up to standard at our hourly rate before we begin. We reserve the right to decline a site or return it after the start of the subscription if the situation warrants it.

If something goes wrong

If an update breaks something, we first check whether it can be resolved quickly and easily. If not, we provide an estimate of the work involved and present it to you before doing anything. We never proceed without your approval. In many cases we can also roll back the relevant update or restore a backup.

Who does the work?

All maintenance is carried out by Codesurf. You always have direct contact with us by email, in English or Dutch. No support desk, no tickets.
