What makes Codesurf different from other web agencies?
We build everything from scratch. No page builders, no off-the-shelf themes, no shortcuts. Every project starts with architecture: how should this be structured, how will it scale, what happens when requirements grow? That approach takes more time upfront but saves a lot of pain later. We also work directly with you, no account managers in between.
Do you use page builders like Elementor or Divi?
No. We write custom code. If a client already has a page builder setup and wants to keep it, we can work with that, but it is never our starting point. Custom code gives you more control, better performance and no dependency on third-party plugins that may break on the next update.
What kind of projects are you NOT the right fit for?
If you need a simple brochure site on a tight budget and fast, there are cheaper options out there. We are the right fit when your project has real complexity: custom functionality, API integrations, a data structure that does not fit a standard theme, or a WooCommerce setup that goes beyond the basics.
How much does a custom WordPress website cost?
Most of our projects start from €3,000. The final cost depends on the scope, the functionality required and the integrations involved. We always provide a detailed quote before any work begins, so there are no surprises.
How long does a project take?
A typical project takes four to six weeks from kick-off to launch. More complex builds take longer. The pace is also partly determined by you: how quickly you can provide feedback, content and decisions all affect the timeline.
Do I need to be based in Ireland to work with you?
Not at all. We work with clients across Europe. Most of our communication happens remotely and that works well.
When and how do I pay?
We require a deposit before work begins. The remainder is invoiced in stages or on completion, depending on the size of the project. Every quote clearly states the payment schedule so you know exactly what to expect.
Can you take over an existing WordPress site or codebase?
Yes. We regularly step into existing projects. Before we commit, we will assess the codebase and give you an honest picture of what we are working with. If there are structural problems, we will tell you upfront rather than halfway through.
Can you work alongside our in-house development team?
Yes, that is something we do regularly. We can slot into an existing workflow, follow your coding standards and collaborate directly with your team. No overhead, no lengthy onboarding process.
Who handles content and copy?
In most cases that is you. You know your business better than we do. If you need help, we can point you in the right direction. Writing the copy ourselves is not something we offer as a standard service.
Do you offer maintenance and support after launch?
Yes. We offer support packages for clients who want ongoing help. Whether that is updates, small changes or troubleshooting, we are reachable and we do not disappear after handover.
Where is my site hosted?
We work with Full Service Hosting, our sister company, for clients who want hosting arranged through us. They specialise in WordPress hosting and handle everything from server management to email. If you have your own hosting setup, we can work with that too.
We'd love to hear from you
